Organic Chemistry is the study of the chemistry of carbon atoms and carbon-containing molecules. Many of these molecules form the basis of life's chemical processes. In addition, organic chemistry covers such important areas as polymer science, pharmaceutical development, hydrocarbon chemistry and biochemistry, among others.

As many past students of this field can attest, attending Organic Chemistry is an arduous undertaking. The unprepared student can easily find themself behind in their course work. Andrus Educational Supplies has developed a number of tools geared to helping students in their studies both in and out of the classroom.

These tools include:

  • A concise IUPAC Nomenclature reference with the rules needed to name most basic organic molecules (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes and ring-based molecules).
  • A ruler/template that allows for quicker and cleaner note-taking during class, producing legible notes when out of the classroom.
  • A set of 50 flash cards covering the important concepts and reactions necessary for a firm grasp of the subject. A set of 20 additional blank cards
  • A molecular model containing enough components to build nearly all simple organic molecules, allowing the student to understand organic chemistry in three dimensions.
